Excellent

Graduating cum laude, I demonstrated exceptional academic performance throughout the program, excelling in both the first and second semesters. One of the projects involved detecting aphids amidst crops in the northern part of the Netherlands. Leveraging the cutting-edge Vision Transformer technology for the identification of aphids from other insects. Additionally, I designed a setup with two cameras to capture insects in flight, significantly enhancing the system's overall performance. I was honoured to receive two awards —the Best Master's Project and the Project with Most Audience Votes—reflecting my dedication and skill in delivering impactful results in this project. In another project, I delved into the classification of harvested potatoes. The objective was to classify between healthy and diseased potatoes, accounting for various disease factors. I proposed domain shift detection methods, further demonstrating my ability to innovate and tackle complex problems.

I completed my studies with two specializations, namely embedded systems and electronics, earning a total of 248 ECs, including 8 extra ECs. These additional credits comprised five from an extra subject in application development and three for my role as class representative. Noteworthy achievements during my education include the development of hardware and software for the haptic feedback and vision components of the SixthSense project in the third year. This internship earned me a grade of 10, and I dedicated two subsequent years to further advancing this project. For my graduation, I undertook a technical project at UFES/LabTel in Vitorià, Brazil. The experience of working on a project in a foreign country presented significant challenges, but it provided invaluable skills and insights applicable to future ventures. During my minor at Windesheim, Zwolle, I focused on 'Embedded and Wireless Systems'. The cumulative grade point average stands at an impressive 8.5.

The information is received by a number of sensors carried by the visually impaired and translated to an understandable language through haptic feedback and bone conduction.
